On DABS's Proudly Utah list as Sugar House Distillery (distillery, 2212 S. West Temple Unit #14, Salt Lake City, UT 84115). Sources read October 11, 2026.

What they make

  • Owner and distiller James Fowler makes vodka, rum, bourbon, rye and malt whiskey from local grain, with no additives; it calls itself the third small-batch distillery in Utah.[1][2]
  • Also cans cocktails made with its own spirits.[2]

Visiting

  • Tours run Friday through Sunday.[2]

Bottles to go

  • The distillery store sells bottles and canned cocktails.[2][1]

Utah lets a brewery, winery or distillery sell its own packaged products on site through a “Type 5” package agency[6]; anything else comes from a state liquor store.

What locals say

  • City Weekly readers voted its raspberry whiskey sour and raspberry lemonade the best canned cocktails of 2025 and placed its vodka third.[3]
